Bryant lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, He played several well known clubs in L.A. including the famous Whisky on the sunset strip in Hollywood. Bryant was in the band Nastification with Athena Lee, sister of Tommy Lee from Motley Crue. He also did Studio Recordings with Bruce Kulick of Kiss and James Kottak of the Scorpions. Upon Returning to Virginia, Bryant played in Occums Razor and First Offense until the reforming of Twysted.

 

Chris Balsley

Chris, on bass, rounds out the rhythm section in Twysted. Although Chris was not an original member of the band, he’s here NOW!!! He has been playing bass for over 30 years.Chris has played with such local bands as: Scrap Metal, Ultra Dog Blues, Occums Razor and Private Property. During the time with Ultra Dog Blues, Chris’ life got “rocked” by the loss of his best friend and band mate Rick Fountain (for whom his son was named).Chris works at Best Buy in Staunton. He married his wife, Beth, in September ’98 and they have two children, Alyssa and Rick.

 

Alex Barnes

Alex was the guy who put this energetic bunch together back in 1989 and is the rhythm guitar player/backup vocalist.  It all started as Wildside. During a short intermission, Alex joined a band with Bryant Clements, Chris Balsley, Gary Gough, and Patrick Patterson; that band would be called Kick Opera.  They kicked ass for awhile, then Twysted found their way back onto the scene.  In 1993, Alex moved to Mobile, Alabama, to be a husband and father, and he still lives there.  He actually travels to Virginia for Twysted gigs...truly a midlife crisis!

 

 

Bryant Clements

Bill Miller

Eddie is the loud and hard hitting drive behind Twysted. He was born in Staunton, VA and is a Scorpio. He has been playing drums for over 30 years. He played in a couple “garage bands” during high school. After high school, he went on to study percussion at Shenandoah Music Conservatory in Winchester, VA.In 1989 Eddie started playing drums with Alex Barnes and Bryant Clements in the band Wildside. That band eventually became Twysted, and he played with them till their breakup in 1993. From 1994 to 1996 he played with Yesterdays Boy. He took a break from playing for a while due to hip problems. After 4 surgeries, he came back healthy and strong.He lives in Staunton with his 14 year old son Kyler. His hobbies are drumming, biking/mtn. biking, exercising, golf and spending time with Kyler.

 

Eddie Smith

Bill is Twysted’s lead guitarist. Bill has been playing for over 30 years, perfecting many styles of music. During the 80's, Bill toured up and down the entire East Coast in bands opening up for national acts like Eddie Money, Sammy Hagar, Heart, Kix, Ratt, The Guess Who, Molly Hatchet, Greg Allman and Black Oak Arkansas. He has been in local bands such as First Offense, 4 Play, Sik Tracy, Ntense, Evolution, Traveller, River Katz, Bad Habit, Montana and Southern Company & Broken Angel.
